I'm telling you, England is going to win this tournament. It's like the Chavs fluking their way through the CL.

England shocking everywhere but in defence. Staggering amount of luck, no technique whatsoever and can't string two passes together, but they won! LOL!!! Result.

I can see the England V Italy game going to penalties

Woy interview - Good game for Wooney to get under his belt, Wooney will be better for it.

I thought Scot Parker was outstanding and Gerard also did OK Ashley Cole was also OK the rest were organised and lucky Ashley Young was awful but I do tend to pick on him, bring on Italy

Let's just draw a veil over this shall we?

Edit... actually Milevskiy was offside before he played the pass to Devic. So two wrongs make a right...

Having saidd that he was on the goal line, the ball was in the air, he would have had only split seconds to decide.

He's human, we had the luck this time.

Reading the comments its hard to believe we won the game let alone the group. The Swedish v France result shows how well we played against Sweden last time out. Even if the Terry clearance went over the line we still would have won the group. This is a group of players who were not given a prayer by anyone to even get out the group and they have won the bloody group, some people will never be happy.

What a fantastic result and performance yet again. Bring on the Ities!!!!

It always amuses me when people mistake perfectly valid criticism as moaning for the sake of it. You can only comment on what you've seen, and I don't think you'll find many people who saw anything other than a poor performance. However, we won! I don't see any unhappy people, so maybe highlight them?

I'll admit I didn't think England would get out the group, let alone win it. How far can they go? No idea. All bets are off now.

You seem to take it as moaning, rather than obvious criticism of what was clearly a technically dreadful performance from England, particularly the first half where we were absolutely dire.

But, as you rightly say, we showed bollox the size of melons, and with a healthy dose of luck we progress. I remember a club side winning a major tournament recently exactly like this.
