Allowing the opposition to come at you and soak up the pressure is fine, provided that you have skill and flair up front, England have neither in the present line up. Hopefully there will changes for the second half.

I wouldn't say miles. It was over, but only about a quarter of a ball width over the back of the line, maybe. Usually linesmen flag when the ball is about halfway over the line, for throw-ins etc. They seem to forget that even if the ball is slightly overhanging the very back edge of the line, it is still in play.

Now, wouldn't it be nice if Sweden put another couple past France, and then Ukraine equalise at the death to put the French out....
