Saturday is  probably yesterday by the time you read this, but just to record that it was beautifully clear and sunny in C Southern England; pleasant in the sun but with a cool northerly noticeable in the shade.

Expecting lots of rainfall reports for this coming week but please put measured amounts in the Precipitation thread.

After a stunning Autumn day, my 10pm temperature tonight (Sat) is down to 1 C

Might be our first subzero night of the season?

First sub zero night of Autumn, an air minimum of -1 C with the whitest frost so far

For the 3rd day it's calm and clear with golden sunshine again.

The coolest night of the autumn at 5C under a F3 breeze. A beautiful sunny start though.

Last night was a very cold one with the first official air frost of the season being recorded  at all of my local stations here in Edinburgh as the temperature dropped to an overnight minimum of -1.92°C at Gogarbank, -0.48°C at the botanic gardens and -2°C at the airport.

This has now taken us into a bright and sunny start to today with the temperature more generally at around 5/6°C here in Edinburgh, but still only around 2°C at the botanic gardens even at this very late stage of the morning.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
