Why upset? it good to keep heating off a bit longer. Clear here not cold as last night sun now rose above the houses roof to shine here.

Anyway, last night's minimum temperature according to the 06z SYNOP/BUFR data was 15.97°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh and 15.93°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank. The temperature has dropped a little bit from those figures, so the actual minimum temperature is likely to be slightly below those given figures, but will be confirmed by the 09z data when that comes through just after 10am BST.
At the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, the highest minimum temperature on record in October is currently 15.8°C as set on 1 October 1985. As the temperature has at dropped to at least 15.65°C at that particular station, last night isn't quite going to go down as our warmest October night on record although we did get very close to that, and it is very likely that a new highest minimum temperature date record will be set as the old date record for 4 October stood at only 13.0°C (for 5 October, that record even goes as low as 12.6°C.
Far too many high temperatures are being broken these days and from a climate change perspective, that is very concerning indeed.
Back on topic though, it's an overcast and fairly windy morning here in Edinburgh, but with nothing really happening apart from that as per usual for here.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
