Another gorgeous day down here after what was a refreshing cool night (13.5C) 😄

Low humidity and a top temperature of 25C

Gentle breeze and a scattering of shallow fair weather clouds.

Could be the first day since June to fail to reach 25C anywhere today!

Talking of which, it's 23.5, dew 8.7 here - that's the lowest daytime dewpoint since mid-May, just before our weather went crazy! The high today was 24.5, and whether at the beach, in the park, walking down to the farm down the road, or even in the back garden... it's felt more pleasant than it has for a long time.

I have actually felt a bit chilly indoors today for the first time in a long while. House was only 20.5C and with people leaving the doors open and a breeze blowing through it was slightly uncomfortable sitting still in just T shirt and shorts.

Amazingly cool this morning - just 10.6, following an overnight low of 10.2. I've been outside, enjoying the novelty of that "nip in the air" feeling for the first time since early June! A reminder that despite the seemingly relentless high pressure, sunshine and heat, autumn is on the way.

It won't last, of course; today's high is going to be something like 27 or 28, and thus the next heatwave begins. Yesterday's high was an average 23.8.

A low of 12C here last night. Now sunny, calm and clear with contrails.

Enjoy Porlock and Devon.  Edit. And Somerset, of course!

Hope the Hill was passable if you drove up it!

20 C + in Edinburgh by 11:30 🥳 Always glad to reach 20 C in summer here, it is actually slightly above average

However there's a lot of annoying high cloud and a stiff SW wind

Despite a mostly cloudy day with only brief sunny spells, we reached 22 C!

It's 18 C now and quite gloomy as two rain bands approach

Very hazy for most of the afternoon here and that pegged back the temps from rising further.

High was 27.8c before 2pm, low was 7.8c so a very rounded range today. Last of the cooler nights for a while.

A very warm and sunny day here, with odd moments where it blew half a gale! It seems we kept switching between a maritime NE'ly (with dewpoints around 17C) and a much drier SE'ly (with dewpoints around 11C). Each time the switch happened there was a minute or so of strong winds blowing everything around.

It's currently 23.3, dew 17.3 (the maritime airmass has won for now); the high earlier was 28.1.

Started out mostly clear with very few clouds but warm, some breezier moments around lunchtime, for a spell, then cloudier this afternoon and calmer, which it is currently.
