Heatwave No 5 is to all intents and purposes on. 30C to 32C early this coming week.  Another longer spell apparently on from 9/10th onwards.

GFS 06z is buliding a large high pressure system from the West next weekend into the following week.

Note, other models like the ECM has high pressure buliding abit earlier than this.

GFS is still not having any meanful rainfall for the south next week. It is a  Low Resolution so maybe the model won't pick up on showers however. Tuesday looks the best chance.

This option is gathering more and more support. Fits in with expectations for mid month to be very warm to hot. I'd say 9th-10th onwards.
