The first of those is a rooftop site and not official. Heathrow has hit 29.5. Could be a good day for the Weymouth manual station too as the south coast seems to be feeling the heat!

As I posted in the model thread, the lowest maximum so far this month has been 27.6C. GFS latest run has at least 27C every day until the 31st. As far as I can see no calendar month has ever had every day record above 25C, so that could be yet another remarkable summer stat.

As I posted in the model thread, the lowest maximum so far this month has been 27.6C. GFS latest run has at least 27C every day until the 31st. As far as I can see no calendar month has ever had every day record above 25C, so that could be yet another remarkable summer stat.

A fair amount of high cloud has moved in helping to bring the temperature down a little from the earlier +30C. Still feeling humid though.

At my location there have been consecutive maxima above 25C since June 16th. and no rainfall above 1.5mm since June 23rd.

Today looks likely to be the last 30C day of this spell. GFS has a couple of very cool days right at the end of the month which would spoil the monthly CET, but it is one of the cooler runs.

Loads of 29s yesterday,  very widespread. 

The far South has had less cloud in the mornings which is helping them go warmer.
