35.1c was the top here today, real free max of 42.6c beats my previous high (not from 2022) by 3 degrees.

Still sat at 34.1 and 39c real feel, going to be a hot one tonight, odds on for my first >20+ min I would guess.

I've now had 4 days in a row at my French PWS of between 39.9 and 40.2C. That's how consistent it's been. Validated by other nearby sites, so I know it's not just a hot station.

And Burgundy isn't even in the core of the heat. But it will be by the weekend. I can expect at least 3 more days at or above 40C there, possibly 4 more.

According to the gardener, most 2026 planted shrubs are nearly dead.

iPhone app continues to say tomorrow will be cooler than today here. It has 34 for tomorrow and grudgingly corrected today’s up to 35, although I think it was more like 36 here in the end. Met Office goes for 36 and had 37 for today. A bit odd as all the high res models have tomorrow a degree or two hotter than today.

That's now 2 months in a row with the all time monthly record broken. July is going to be hard to beat, but August would only require 38.6c, it doesn't seem far fetched the way this year is going.

Today another hot day and my garden reached 37.1C now 31.7.  Conservatory was 42.7C did not go high as last month due to milky skies compare to May super blue skies.  Expect tomorrow to be slightly hotter here.  My wife said the car temps as you drive along is 37C as well, car temps are not often very acturate but since driving along with strong winds against it still reading 37C.  House temps 34.3c living room to 31.7c in my bedroom which now get full sun from the NW which last nearly 4 hours before it goes behind other houses at 8.45.

Still over 90F at ten past eight in the evening. A gentle warm breeze and it’s perfect for sitting in the garden with a cold drink.

Max temperature was 35.1 °C at 3.22 pm, currently 29 °C at 8.15 pm. Milky blue skies with a slight breeze, feels great in the garden but not in the house, which is 32 °C.

Does anyone know the record for consecutive days of 35c or over from any UK site? I keep finding conflicting information, I know from memory it's at least 2 days possibly 3 days but has there ever been more?

Horrendous outside still. Can't open the windows as the hottest room is 31.3 and it's 33 still outside (at 20 past 8! Really?)

Feels like you could cut the air into slices.

Temp is slowly dropping IMBY, 25.9c so have all doors and windows open other than my bedroom, where the portable aircon is on (as it has been for much of the day).

Not sure my temp sensor is great in direct sun so it's probably an overstatement but topped out at 37.3c. Fun for some but I very much don't enjoy it.

Looks like 3 more days of unpleasantness before something more bearable on Sunday. As others have mentioned Friday looks like peak heat day in this part of the world, so may well record higher than today!

Today peaked at 27.1°C here.

The Met Office have 33°C for tomorrow, whilst the BBC have 31°C. Given the way this heat wave has evolved for my location, I have a feeling these will be slightly overdone as well. Maybe 29/30°C will be tomorrow's high..?

Well just as fleetlands was getting a shout out by the met office the automated forecast for the northern area of Portsmouth City had an upgraded temperature of 39C!! Absolutely insane. I was working towards the south of the city close to the Sea and we had an outside shaded air temperature at one point of just over 37C - obviously this just a crude reading.

High of 31c today, slightly cooler than yesterday.  This evening is definitely cooler here, down to 21c now , you can see the North Sea influence with it getting cooler as you move East across N England.  Amazing to see  30c plus temps in the South at this time of the evening.

I haven’t seen any other mention of the amazing 37.1 at Southampton Oceanographic today, which matches the 1990 record. Unofficial of course.

Met office website seems to have crashed this evening. Incredible to have the red warning extended up to and over the South coast into the channel. Usually 5+ miles north of the actual coastline it’s a good 4-5 degrees cooler. Not this time!

Very, very unusual for beach towns.
