Just hit 20C here, which is pretty early for it in June! The dewpoint is 19.3, no doubt helped along by the grass still being covered in dew... and the ground beneath is still damp from yesterday afternoon's rain. No wonder, then, that the UKV has 21C dewpoints a gnat's breadth away this afternoon, along with 19C 850s.

Muggy, 18 C but another horrible gloomy, damp day in Ingleton

After yesterday's copious amount of rain there is more heavy rain due this afternoon

I couldn't have been in a worse area of England for the first 3 weeks in June!

Yesterday was our wettest day of this summer so far with a total of 9.6 mm of rain at Edinburgh Gogarbank but last night was once again, our warmest night pf this year so far with an overnight minimum temperature of 15.33°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 15.43°C at  the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

This morning then started off on a cloudy note but it's already very slowly brightening up here in Edinburgh with the temperatures already up to around 19°C.

Completely clear sky now after a few early patches of Ac melted away. Feeling warm but still fresh.

25 has been and gone - while I was outside in it too. My jeans are now sticking to my thighs. Clear blue skies, 25.5, dew 21.8(!), still some damp patches in the shade.

Maybe, we haven't had the worst return of the westerlies here in north Cumbria, missed a lot of the heavy rain. Yesterday and today though have been classic Strathclyde summer.

A sudden whoosh, and it's now breezy - having been calm all day. The temperature has shot up from 27 to 29.7 almost instantly. The mainland (where the breeze is coming from) is showing a lot of 31s and 32s on Wundermap. The only positive thing is that there's a bit more cloud around, but that sun is STRONG if you're out in it!

EDIT: Just hit 30.0 as I posted. It's really shooting up!

The earlier brightness didn’t last for long here with the rain very soon setting in once again as the dismal start to this summer goes on.

It has also cooled down a bit to around 17°C here in Edinburgh as I write.

Just had a dog food delivery (remarkably, still frozen) and by gum the wall of humidity and warmth as I opened the door hit me like it does when you're on holiday somewhere hot! 30.8, dew 21.6, still breezy. And indoors it's 23, dew 15...)

Incidentally the look on the delivery driver's face when I offered a can of Coke Zero to him was priceless... don't think I've seen anyone look so surprised, then overwhelmingly happy in a long time! 😁

We’ve climbed to 16.2c in a cocktail of misty low cloud and fog with bursts of drizzle from time to time. It should improve here tomorrow lunchtime….hopefully.

27.8c to start the hot spell off, a lovely day and a good breeze most of the day until this evening of course, just when you want one. Watering the veg patch and greenhouse just now felt muggy, really need to replace the sensor on my VP2 before the proper hot weather starts next week as having it read 100% humidity all the time is a royal pita.
