Last night was warmer than of late with an overnight minimum temperature of 11.07°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 11.3°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.

This morning is also starting off on a much better note than yesterday with some decent sunny spells at times, but it is also still rather cool and breezy with the odd shower still within our vicinity

Currently around 14°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

A better day today than yesterday with a total of 4.2 hours of sunshine being recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 7:40pm BST (18:40 UTC) this evening and with today's showers resulting in only a mere 1.0 mm of rain being recorded at Edinburgh Gogarbank.

However, it was also quite a windy day for the time of the year with maximum wind gusts at Edinburgh Gogarbank reaching around 38 mph from the WSW.

In addition to that, today was also yet another day in which the temperatures have generally been refusing to rise which has been pretty much the story of this so-called "summer" so far, so today's maximum temperature was just a mere 16.44°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank but at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh, today was slightly warmer than yesterday with a maximum temperature of  17.73°C.

As I write, the temperature at the botanic gardens is still holding up at around 14°C but at the other stations in Edinburgh, this evening is a bit cooler than yesterday with a temperature of around 12°C.

June has been so disappointing so far here in the Yorkshire Dales (Ingleton), cold, cloudy and wet with showers every day. Maximum temperatures most days have only been 16 C

Yet again this morning we start cool, cloudy and showery. The much talked about warm spell has faded away with more Atlantic rain here next week

Decided to get out for a walk near Settle, showers are much lighter now. It's cloudy and feels freezing in the strong wind....only 11 C...didn't bring my gloves on a June trip 🥶

Still very windy and cool, so many leaves and twigs everywhere. Dull all day with spots of rain in that wind....14 C Max appalling for June 😩
