If you are sitting comfortably, then I'll begin.

After yesterday's meh day, where the temp never rose above 14.8C and the rains persisted, it's 14.1C the odd sunny spell but still breezy.

A laundry day, so hopefully it will stay dry even if remaining cloudy.

A sparkling morning, the sun is shining and there's a pleasant breeze. 13.3, dew 10.7, following an overnight low of 10.6. Yesterday's high was 18.3 - a degree or so below average - and there was 2.8mm of rain.

Not sure what happened to the BBC and Met Office forecast of  24C for parts of East Anglia and Kent today? Probably the lack of sunshine. Maximum here was just 19.5C, presumably like most of the rest of the Country. Touch of drizzle in the air as well now.

(No complaints here, though, I;m thoroughly enjoying this average spell. Makes a refreshing change from May, and it'll make a refreshing change on what's to come, as you can guarantee hot weather will return soon enough.)

Nice small patch of Mammatus floating in the skies just there now as that sliding front finally exits.

12.9c, 4.2mm so far today, certainly raining cats and dogs on my VP2 at up to 35mm/hr. Looks like a good 2 or 3 hours rain this morning but this looks like the heaviest on the radar.

A mostly bright and sunny start to today after the clearance of some overnight rain although there is still some cloud around as well.

Recently, I have often been regarding the fact that there's a lot of sunshine as "boring", but that's not the case this time.

Last month was slightly duller than average here and the first month of this month has led to just a measly total of 16.1 hours of sunshine being recorded in that time which at this time of the year, is possible to get in just a single day (that day would need to be virtually completely sunny for that to happen, though but that is something which can happen), and we have even had a completely sunless day amongst that.

Taking that into consideration, this morning's sunshine is actually very welcome now as this is just another example of what I always mean when I say that this is something which is appreciated a lot more when that is something which we're not used to, rather than something which is just the norm that we get all the time (that is when it then becomes "boring").

Last night's overnight minimum temperature was 10.31°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and just 9.97°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh which makes last night our coolest night of the summer so far with even a return to single figures temperatures at the botanic gardens.

Currently around 15°C here in Edinburgh.

Dry so far but looks like rain about to start. Whether we get 20mm or not will depend on the track of the heavy stuff currently over Normandy. I think it may pass somewhat to my East but a bit early to be sure. Not too fussed having already had 40mm so far this month but any stocking up is useful with potentially hot weather to come next week. Currently thick cloud and 15.9C.

Moderate rain, just light wind from the SW.

14.8, dew 13.0 (which is around 5C below average for an afternoon in early to mid June), but as the high so far is 19.2 it'll go down as a near-average temperature day.

Today was our sunniest day of this summer so far with a total of 8.4 hours of sunshine being recorded for today so far as at 7:40pm BST (18:40 UTC).

However, today was only very slightly warmer than yesterday with a maximum temperature of 17.23°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 17.69°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh which is still not even the least bit warm for this time of the year.😡

The Sun is still shining here in Edinburgh as I write, but the temperature is only around 12°C here.
