A grammatical contradiction or not, perhaps to see who picks it up! Thank you Peter. It goes on and one this long dry but might change this week to wetter here. But... An unsettling chill wind today. Not pleasant sitting out in my Mediterranean Garden so I won't.

In the end, it did rain here today, not heavy but 4 or 5 hours of it which is what the garden needs. So moaning in the Current Conditions thread was premature.

Still on 4mm here (excluding the 0.6mm SWMBO managed to add watering her pots).

Looking at the way the front today is disintegrating as it comes down towards CS England, not sure I will see anything more tbh. Looks like those in Kent may get a splash or two.

Wonders will never cease, we actually had some rain as the front slightly intensified just above Oxford on its way down to here. 30 mins of rain provided a welcome 1.4mm, that looks like that for the day now from the radar though.

The 'heaviest' rain seems to be overhead. But not enough to make a puddle, let alone give the garden a good soak or encourage my neighbour to bring in her washing. Best described a trace when I come to measure it.

I think I've had my allowance for today. 1mm earlier in a shower. Sunday's forecast offers the next chance of heavy rain at 75% in the afternoon. Too far ahead for any confidence of course. Today's meagre rain has all evaporated in the strong sunshine and fresh winds.

Same as yesterday downpours 1 mile either side of me. I passed through the white strip straight through the middle! To be honest I'm getting sick of it now, there is no hope of it ever raining properly here!

Yesterday I managed to miss all the showers. Incredible when looking at the radar. To the west, north and east of me all heading into the Channel.  But the chilly wind was notable.
