Sunny here on the coast with a light NE wind and only 10 C by 1pm. Sun strong enough for lunch in the sheltered garden. Cumulus have spread out inland from here

A bright but cloudy start at 9.9C. The generally dry Spring continues apace, with Saturday's general rain forecast a few days ago, reduced to a small risk of a shower later in the day.

Despite the forecast of a warmer day than yesterday (15.4C) it's actually colder with maximum of 14.5C so far. Bone dry of course with a drying breeze.

I was up before the lark this morning, not that there are many left around here, but indeed a slight dampness on the roads indicating a fleeting overnight shower perhaps. No puddles though. Currently sunny spells with fairly fresh SE breeze at 18.5C.

Meanwhile in Hertfordshire we have been plagued with cloud spread over the last couple of days. On both days early sunshine has given way to overcast conditions. The cloud radar quite clearly shows how the cloud has built and spread northwards over our area. It appears to be associated with convection as many coastal areas look to be mostly sunny.

At least it has felt warmer today, peaking at around 17C .

Today started off on a dull and damp note here in Edinburgh and although the rain has now cleared away, it's still mostly cloudy although it is slowly brightening up once again as per usual with sunny intervals gradually developing.

However, today is quite a cold day for the time of year with the temperature currently at only around 9°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Temperature hit 23C 🙂

Some towers are beginning to go up so possibly an isolated storm or two later over the downs.

Breezy, bordering on windy here and a genuine sting in that wind too. 8.0c but feels colder. Sunny earlier today but never felt especially warm, despite temps peaking near average at 15c. Can't seem to get any warmth into the house at all this year.

In the Yorkshire Dales today. Dull, dismal, drizzly, cloud down to 500m.

Glad to get in the pub at lunch with roaring fires!

Maximum 11 C mid-morning but only 9 C by mid afternoon. A shocking day for May!
