Here today, was another beautiful, almost cloudless day. The respective high and low temperatures were 20.8°C and 5.3°C, but the DPs ranged from –3.0°C this morning, to 5.3°C this afternoon. It again, reflects how low the humidity is (28%)

Yes, there is and I'm happy to report that if you look elsewhere on that forum, you'll find that I have just resurrected that thread which I had actually created all the way back on 1 March 2026.

Meanwhile back on topic, I can report that today's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 18.52°C which makes today our warmest day of the year so far but the maximum temperature at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh was pegged back to just 14.82°C thanks to a cooling wind from off the North Sea. With that, the wait for our first 20+°C maximum of the year goes on, although we're getting fairly close to that happening now.

A total of 9.7 hours of sunshine was recorded for today in the end at Edinburgh Gogarbank, but the east coast haar has now rolled in once again with some thick fog to end the day here.

Yesterday we reached 19 C!!

The Sun did eventually come out as it always does these days (we just hardly ever get any other type of weather any more these days, which is why our weather has just become so boring and uninteresting now), but it took quite a bit longer to do so today than of late.

That has probably also contributed towards today being that much cooler here in Edinburgh where the temperature is currently ranging from only around 10°C at the botanic gardens to around 12°C at Gogarbank.

I think some parts of the UK will be enjoying temperatures 10 C higher!

It was sunny for a while earlier and I managed to get the grass cut.

17.9c currently. Briefly 19.5c earlier, fresh Easterly wind and cloudless. 

First thing this morning it was 9c here, but quickly encountered a ground frost in the valley. 

Say that again. I've been by the lakes this afternoon and feel parched. An ice-cold beer before watering time for the garden. An acquaintance has been fishing on the Frome this afternoon and the level dropped 5cm in the past two days.
