The latest rainfall data for Edinburgh Gogarbank is as follows:

Monthly Data

Final total for March 2026: 62.0 mm (118.1% of 1991-2020 March average)

Number of rain days during March 2026: 13 (126.5% of 1991-2020 March average)

Number of dry days during March 2026: 13

March 2026 was slightly wetter than average overall both in terms of the actual rainfall amounts, and in terms of the number of official rain days. There was a spell of high pressure dominated weather in the middle of the month which pegged the final total back to around average and had it not been for that, the month would probably have been a lot wetter than it actually turned out to be.

Seasonal Data

Total for this spring so far: 62.0 mm (41.7% of 1991-2020 spring average)

Number of rain days during this spring: 13 (43.0% of 1991-2020 spring average)

Number of dry days during this spring: 13

Annual Data

Total for this year so far: 174.2 mm (22.2% of 1991-2020 annual average)

Number of rain days during this year: 44 (32.0% of 1991-2020 annual average)

Number of dry days during this year: 25
