An unusual day here - misty, becoming foggy by mid-afternoon, but with a gentle breeze throughout. It's uncommon to have mist/fog and a wind here, a taste of Aberdonian life, perhaps? (Or the Scillies, where I experienced similar in summer many years ago!)

8.4, dew 7.8, and the high was only 9.6: a surprising miss for the MetO raw and GFS, both of which had highs of 15C under full sunshine!

It took till 11am for the fog to clear here today but we finished up just above 15c in a very light easterly, a wonderful evening blackbird chorus till 6:30.

8C clear blue sky

The Weald, which between N & S Downs, forms a frost hollow on a grand scale, reporting between 0 & 2C - maybe foggy there?

A very sunny day, with the sky turning increasingly milky as the afternoon wore on. The warmest day of the year: 18.2 was the high and it's still 15.2, dew 10.4.

It's amazing how used we are to the warmth these days, this would have been headline news in the 80s!

Louise Lear quoting 19C as the max temp in London today. Was this a rounded figure? It's interestingly close to the date record of 19.2 C (Huntly, Aberdeenshire, 1961).Worth keeping an eye on once all stations have reported.

Here the temperature started dropping from about 3pm (18C) to 6pm (13C) as the overcast developed. No spectacular sunset, alas!

Been a fine and sunny day, albeit milky-looking in afternoon. Peaked at 15.3 C at 2.40 pm, 11.8 C currently. Went for a little walk along the sea front this morning and even got slightly sunburnt.

A fairly cloudy start to this morning after some overnight rain which gave us our wettest day of this spring so far by quite a considerable amount.

Some brightness is coming through at times though. There was a ground frost overnight and there is a fairly decent covering of snow on the Pentland Hills to my south as I write.

Currently around 2°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Today ended up being a fairly nice day here in Edinburgh with a total of 6.7 hours of sunshine at Edinburgh Gogarbank but given that we are now into the start of spring and given how warm it had turned just recently, today wasn't all that warm for the time of year with the temperatures here in Edinburgh no higher than around 9°C, and there is still some snow on the top of the Pentland Hills as I write.

Currently around 4°C here in Edinburgh

Dull. Damp in afternoon. 9.6 C from a peak of 13.5 C at 12 pm but at least winds has been virtually calm. A comedown on the recent Spring-like weather but that will be back soon.

Last night was a cold one with an official air frost at all three of my local stations as the temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank dropped to -1.8°C (where on Earth were these frosty mornings during the winter when we were actually looking for them!?⛅💨).⛅

However, that has brought us into a bright and sunny start to today with the temperatures already recovering very quickly.

Currently around 5°C here in Edinburgh.
