Kew Gardens Met Office site seems to be back today after a very long downtime and picked a good day as is currently showing 18.5C (rounded to 19C)

My weather station in Watford showed a maximum of 17.6c.

Currently in St James Park, and it feels very warm and all the daffodils are out.

A beautiful Spring day , 18.8c at  Chertsey is the highest I can see so far. Looks like Heathrow WS also out of action to go with St James's Park.  Two hotspots that could well have gone higher.

I will walk past St James Park weather station later and see if there is any reason it is out of action.

Sunny, with the lengthening shadows putting the muddy lawn in shade. 15.4, dew 12.6, and it still feels like late May outside.

The high was 18.6C earlier under unbroken sunshine - it coincided with an hour-long increase in southerly winds, so I think the Downs - a dozen miles to the south - might have had something to do with it.

It's been a lovely bright day here with a max of 18.1c in the back garden at 14:35. Two rounds of washing dried by solar and wind power (a much preferred method of drying) which is great, even had my mid morning coffee out in the garden. The dog's been enjoying the freedom to come and go into the garden too as we're able to leave the back door open for him.

Probably all change tomorrow though, as rain is again forecast. At least it seems to be warming up as we head into  spring.

10.8c, cloudy, breezy but drying up a little. Cloud bank is thin enough to see the half moon, which oddly, is only a few degrees from being directly overhead. Don't recall ever seeing the moon that high in the sky.

Met Office have gone with Kew 18.7c as yesterday's max. So obviously they don't trust Chertsey site anymore which got to 18.8c. They used it last year but think it's been compromised since then.

It's not been a good year for Met Office weather stations to say the least.

Set out to go to the tip at Market Rasen and were thwarted by a flood on the road to Wragby. Fields near "Mince Pie Cottage" fully flooded and road only manageable in 4X4s going slowly! Clues in the local names:

Hatton Beck

Beck Farm

Beckside Bungalow

Bay Cottage

Might try again tomorrow.

Just reading through the last few days, looks like the southerners have had a taste of Spring warmth ☀️

It's been reasonably mild up here too but bright rather than blue skies and 10 - 12 C

Last night saw a -10 C in the Highlands and it was 1 C for me. Lunchtime here is cloudy and 7 C so a way to go for us

The crocii are out and a few tete-a-tete's have buds now
