Well the results are in and it's congratulations to Frank who, after a phenomenal performance all year, heads the table to take gold medal position closely followed by DingleRob snapping at his heels and GezM in a very respectable 3rd place. Frank there's a virtual crate of Moet on its way to you - Brian if you're reading this how about a free years membership for Frank?!

Congratulations also go to RickM who won this months competition - a sterling end to the year.

Lastly a cheer for WindyWillow who has this year's wooden spoon.

Thank you to all who took part and good luck in 2026 - those eagle eyed among you will have spotted that Frank is having a year off so it's all to play for!

P.s. Apologies for the wait - I wanted to make sure that there were no final revisions by the Met Office!

To get such low differences takes a lot more than the luck that I rely on!

Halfway through December, I'd have bet my house of DingleRob, as I just couldn't see the CET falling sufficiently to bring Frank into it. And that's why I once again finish in mid table mediocrity 😁

Thanks so much to Dave for stepping in to run this. It's a TWO institution (and we've lost so many of them over the years). Cheers, mate 👍

It took the whole 31 days to get back ahead of Dingle Rob's great effort and retain the title I luckily won last year.

The previous 3 (maybe more) competition leaders at the end of November had all failed to last home and each had made the same mistake - too low a prediction. I was aware of this fact yet still almost made the same mistake.

Also thanks to Dave for taking over the running and doing a great job.

As Dave mentioned, I let him know a month ago that I'll be taking a break in 2026 so good luck to all.
