Sorry for being OT, but is this off the mark? (Approx 09:45)

Looks a bit odd!

Snow briefly pepped up to moderate intensity here and has now eased off again. Frustrating as everything is frozen solid so it would rapidly settle.

I am within the lower blue strip of that and it was raining so it was at least correct for MBY

I can officially say we have joined the snow club, we had some very fine, (not graupel) snow an hour ago that lasted a whole 2 minutes.
Previously JimC. joined back then in 2009. Frome, N/E Somerset, 125mtrs asl.

Had been watching a band of snow heading this way on the radar. Unfortunately the clouds have just realised they're over Hampshire so need to turn to rain

Snowing steadily here. It has given a new covering, but temperatures are above 0C now.

A good covering of snow in the last hour, filling in the gaps from last Thursday night's snow, which has been lying in the shade ever since.

Snow turned more to sleety snizzle as it faded out. It covered the paths but has melted off some surfaces with the air temp now above freezing. That marks the end of the proper deep cold here, at least for now.

The high res ECM shows more snow for many southern and central parts on Thursday afternoon and into Friday morning, albeit with rain in the mix.

In the end the snow lying at Aberdeen Dyce compacted down from its peak of 38cm after the snow ended yesterday, so that this morning's 0900 GMT reading of 33cm wasn't the highest on record. The snow depth from 3-hourly observations in 1961/1962 isn't available in the Midas dataset so there is no way of knowing if the snow was deeper than 35cm prior to 0900 GMT on 29th December 1961.

But still it would appear to be the deepest measured snow at Dyce in 64 years which is pretty impressive!

Much to my surprise it snowed here for 25 mins around 1pm. Quite heavy at times with large wet flakes. Settled briefly but has now melted away as temperature quickly rose to 1.6C. Still, first day time snow falling I've seen for a couple of years. Still no lying snow at 9.00 am for many years though.

Aberdeenshire Council has now declared a major incident due to the ongoing snow related issues. There is currently a heavy band of precipitation crossing many parts of N Scotland and inland with elevation especially it will adding to the snow. It is still dry here but I suspect when the precipitation does arrive it may be wet rather than white, but given the surface and air temperatures etc. that in itself could be very problematic.

The fax is showing a warm front so I would imagine it’s very cold rain or freezing rain.

It started snowing lightly here at about 1pm and it has ramped up in the last 30 mins and is coming down hard. After this morning's snow had stopped the temperature fell to -7C at 10am and is even now only up to -2C in the heavy snow. No sign of it turning to sleet or rain yet.
