To all those craving snow, you’re more than welcome to what we have here in Cragganmore. Another 15cm last night, we are now over 45cm level snow. Getting to be a pain clearing it now. Looks like a good bit more to come this week too. Praying for a slow thaw as flooding would become a serious issue if it’s quick . Nature rebalancing itself after the summer drought 👍

Third night in a row with snowfall, albeit the last two very light, but now snowing again which is beautiful to see. It's from a very low base, but this is the best 'snowy' period since Jan 2013 for here.

Unsurprisingly, despite the forecast, not a flake here. I don't even know why they included this area in the forecast because it was obvious from the radar that it would have fizzled out as it got here. Unfortunately this cold spell has had 100% the wrong direction for me - I need an ESE'ly and I got a WNW'ly ! Great to see the snow pics from Aberdeen though - it looks great up there. 😀

Light covering here in Sutton Coldfield, perhaps 2cm.  Hoping the event on Friday turns to a favourable one for here!!

We ended up with 2-3cm by midnight, a mix of flake and graupel. Skies then cleared and it froze solid. Cue traffic chaos this morning.

The whole of the Merseyside & Cheshire (away from the NE of the county) area seems most affected (judging by Google Maps). My 5.5 miles run to drop my youngest at 6th Form College took 58 mins. The drop-off in snow was noticeable as soon as I got east of St Helens. Manchester city centre actually has a nice dusting, though.

I think it may be the most snow since I move here (over 30 years ago). March 2006 and Feb 1999 briefly came close to this.

Just about enough snow overnight for a full covering here, which I wasn't expecting, though you'd have to measure it in mm rather than cm. Now brilliant sunshine, though no sign of the snow melting yet even in the sun.

I can (just) join in with a snow report IMBY albeit a smattering of snow grains overnight seems a touch daft compared to some reports 😂

Our 'cover' from the other day remains largely intact other than on paths etc. where the sun has got to work.

I'm guessing by the Wunderground radar the Aberdeen folks are experiencing more snowfall, with a fairly large band moving through with more to come seemingly.

Fairly major snow event unfolding just now in Aberdeen City and surrounding satellite towns. Snow increased from 27 to 33cm in an hour at the airport.

I can confirm that first hand. The snow is easing a bit now but there has probably been an extra 8 to maybe 10 cm of snow here in the past 2 hours. I’m not sure what the depth is but it looks much more than before (which as pretty deep!)

The level snow in my garden is also at exactly 38cm. I guess it’s not a surprise as it’s only about 3 miles away (if that).

For a snapshot of the streets around here I have made a little album from a walk just now. I hope the share settings allow viewing:
