Conclusion
The autumn of 2025 was slightly warmer than average overall with a below average number of air frosts.
It was also a wetter than average month both in terms of the actual rainfall amounts and in terms of the number of official rain days despite the fact that November 2025 was the autumn's only wetter than average month.
Finally, the autumn of 2025 started off on a sunny note with a sunnier than average September which carried on the pattern of the rest of the year up until that point. However, we then had an exceptionally dull October followed by a duller than average November and this meant that the autumn as a whole was duller than average in the end with September being its only sunnier than average month.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
