Conclusion
July 2025 was a warmer than average month but despite July being our warmest month on average according to the 1991-2020 averages, the highest temperature in July 2025 wasn't as high as it was in June when Edinburgh had its hottest June day on record.
After a wetter than average month in June though, July 2025 resumed the pattern of consistently drier than average months which we have been seeing right throughout this year.
However, July 2025 was a slightly duller than average month which was our first duller than average since January despite the fact that there weren't any completely sunless days in July, and it was also a slightly windier than average month.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
