I’ll go for 18.2c.  I think it’s going to be very warm but not quite a record breaker.

Sorry Dave, I can’t find your email address.  🙄

Pershore looks to be over reporting today it's about 3 or 4c higher than anything else in the area.  It's one of the 3 sites used for the CET I believe.

What happens with the CET if one site is dodgy???

Interesting Snowman. I keep noticing how Lakenheath is at least a couple of degrees higher than surrounding stations, especially Mildenhall which is practically next door. Not going to affect CET of course but makes me wonder when stations stick out a bit who checks.

As for Pershore, it maxed at 26.0C which is 2.0C higher than nearby Pershore College (24.0 max).

Yesterday it was 28.5C vs 28.4C at the College.

And on Monday it was 32.0C vs 31.9C at the College.

So it only seems like today was questionable.

Interestingly James Peacock on X ( who is Stormchaser here I believe???) suggesting Pershore's high temp was caused by a foehn (adiabatic) type wind from the Welsh hills.

Given that this month might be one for the record books it looks like we all may have gone too low but as ever time will tell. Will Lanky pull off a monthly win and catapult himself back towards the top of the table or will Rick M and Taylor1740 be more on the mark - whatever the result, it's a roller coaster year!

Also looking at the all-time list, I thought 2006 was 19.7C but now shows as 19.8. Has it been adjusted?
