Surprised as it's raining to a degree. A novelty this summer. Light but it has wetted the ground.  A 12% chance of rain, say the BBC. Still most welcome for the garden which I watered earlier.

Forecast is: Any early brightness this morning will be replaced by cloud drifting in from the west, but it will stay dry. In the afternoon, the cloud will break up again to give sunny spells. Breezy and warmer.

The showers forecast a couple of days ago to arrive from the south tomorrow have been almost airbrushed away but fingers crossed they will slip over/under or through the BBC drynet somehow. And the Met Office too for that matter. Is that how it works?

Supposed to be 23C today.

Currently a chilly 18C with a breeze and overcast sky.

I've got goosebumps 🤣🫠 Seriously.

Rather more showers than I expected this afternoon.  Ruining the cricket too.  But hopefully the streamer of showers is moving South now.

17.5c, high 18.5c.

Monday and Today have been a couple of coolish breezy days and not at all summer-like. 17 C the maximum on both days and occasional light showers, strong winds too

Will be one of those days today where we are on the border between the summery weather .

14.4c and grey now. Might squeeze 23c later if it brightens up.

Another very warm day looks like 26s the max so far for England.  Just across the  Channel though it's 35c in Paris. France is having a furnace of a summer so far.

18.7C cloudy, light rain overnight now stopped.

Yesterday evening's forecast heavy showers once again swung eastwards and went up-Channel; not a drop here.

No surprise either that this morning's band of rain has fizzled as it encounters the rain shield of Sheppey, nowt but cloud from it here. At least we've got the cloud, I guess, means it's not a searing sunny morning as yesterday was.

It's warm and humid yet again, 18.6 / dew 16.1, the overnight low being just 17.5. Yesterday's high was 26.9, both of these are over 5C above average yet nobody's batting an eyelid.

The mean max for the month now stands at 23.7 here, +3.2 compared to the 91-20 mean.

Steady rain for a good chunk of the night which has brought us towards 90% of the June total

A mild night though with a Minimum of 14 C

Heading to the Lakes tomorrow for 3 days of WET walking! There are 3 days of rain forecast and humid with midges, around 20 C too 😩

No nice weather up here for sure!

Dull, misty over hills. 17.8 C & mid-90% H and there is something of a freshening SW breeze. Only 0.4 mm fell in the past 12 hours, that won't touch the sides with my beloved lawn to mind but it was all said in low confidence anyway.

Hill fog here and the dampness on roads will probably convince some people that "It's raining again... typical summer weather".

Just had a rather heavy but brief shower. Looking at the radar there's a thin but quite potent line of rain heading east. Maybe that one will breach the Sheppey Shield?

A cool and breezy day here in Edinburgh with light drizzly rain at times earlier on, but also with occasional bright or even sunny intervals especially as time wears.

At the moment, the temperature is only a very disappointing 15°C but I still wouldn't be surprised to see the temperatures rise much higher than that over the course of the afternoon especially in any sunshine as that seems to be the way of it these days.

EDIT:

The temperature even jumped up to around 17°C as I posted that, thus proving my last point yet again.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
