Here in Edinburgh, this summer has also started off on a bright and sunny note this morning but there is a fairly cool wind and for now at least, it's not really feeling all that much like summer.

Currently around 9°C here in Edinburgh

Another still, warm, humid night, hopefully things will improve during the day.

Currently mostly cloudy with just the odd puff of wind from the west. 14.1, dew 13.1; last night's low was 12.1 and yesterday's high was 26.1. (Last year it took until the end of June before we hit 25C... around a month early this year).

Cool and showery sums up today here in Edinburgh.

The showers are fairly heavy at times with a temperature of only around 15°C which isn't even the least bit warm for this time of the year.

Not exactly a great start to this so-called "summer" especially as I've seen many days even in the depths of winter which haven't even been much cooler than that.😡

A sunny, breezy morning here. 14.6, dew 9.4, the overnight low being 9.3 and yesterday's high being 21.4.

GFS has a whopping 0.6mm of rain forecast for here today, we'll see tomorrow if that was a good forecast!

Do we have smoke at altitude today? There's a 'haze' on the cloud satellites today coming into western Europe.

I've just been up the hill here, very windy with light showers but a lot of the clear sky is milky, pale blue with a coppery sun?

The front has passed through with not a lot of rain. Every little helps and all that. Breezy still but calming down.

Just soft rain here and dry under bushes. I'm sure I will be praying for it to stop once it's got into its stride for the summer. When the Met Office get all bullish and excited about heatwaves I tend to lose my bullishness nowadays.

I swear I can sniff the Canadian smoke!  Thanks CP for the heads up. Well the sky is certainly milky though in normal conditions it would be blue after the front went past. I'll be heading out for an evening stroll on the strand soon. I'll get a better idea whats going on with the wide spaces and skies. It could be the seaweed and salty air I'm currently picking up. Someone of course could be running a hot fish smoker nearby.

Still waiting for rain here - absolutely zilch so far today!

It's mostly cloudy, breezy, and a bit cooler than yesterday... albeit the humidity has increased through the day, behind the (non rain-bearing) warm front.

16.7, dew 13.6, the high so far being 17.6.
