Conclusion
Overnight minimum temperatures in May 2025 were slightly below average with a very rare official air frost even being recorded, but the daytime maximum temperatures were very substantially warmer than average and because of that, May 2025 was a warmer than average month overall.
May 2025 was a substantially drier than average month in terms of the actual rainfall amounts with all of its recorded rainfall occurring within the final 9 days of the month, and it was also much drier than average in terms of the number of official rain days although the month ended on a much wetter note.
Finally, May 2025 was a substantially sunnier than average month and was our third sunnier than average month with February 2025 being this year's only duller than average month so far.
