Local forecasters are giving this for my area for later, going to catch a few people out methinks.

Forecast from 06:00UTC Tuesday to 06:00UTC Wednesday.

Wind: East to southeast 3 to 4, veering southwest to west 6 to 7 from midday, locally gale 8 to severe gale 9 with gusts to 60kt until mid-evening, decreasing 5 to 6 after midnight.6

I'm guessing it will be down to the French Met. Office to name this feature?

Quite odd, Jersey Met. are still holding their ground, this their latest shipping forecast.

Forecast from 12:00UTC Tuesday to 12:00UTC Wednesday.

Wind: Southeast 3 to 5, veering southwest to west 7 to gale 8 by evening, locally severe gale 9 with gusts to 60kt in the west and north of the area until midnight, decreasing 5 to 6 after midnight, backing southerly 3 to 5 later.

Quite a short lived feature.

I've just had a quick look at a range of models and none are backing what the Jersey Met. Office are forecasting. 

Local TAF is SW'ly 32 Kts gusting 45Kts for this evening.
