Clouding over now and so endeth 7 days of almost unbroken sunshine in this area. The last time I think we had such a long sunny spell was May 2020 but I stand to be corrected.

Been a fine and sunny day with a peak of 13.0 C at 3.15 pm. Was comfortable enough to sit on my famed west-facing door step for an hour this afternoon.
Home location: Folkestone Harbour.

16.2 was the high here - the wind was positively warm today. Last night's low ended up as 1.2, but I doubt we'll get anywhere near that tonight now that cloud has rolled in!

(I had my boiler serviced today, and while that was going on I was in the back garden pulling up brambles. No need for a jacket, a polo shirt was fine.)

10.5C. Cloudy with light airs off the Channel.

Yesterdays menu for today included patchy showery rain. It's still there as the Met Office mention for here A rather cloudy day with frequent scattered showers which seems odd. How can they be frequent and yet scattered?

The BBC for here FWIW mentions a few isolated showers are possible, but otherwise it will remain largely dry but cloudy.

But anyway that's as it might be and not what it is.

10.9C, mainly cloudy with some breaks, clouds moving up from the SW

EDIT - half an hour later, breaks increasing and quite a lot of blue sky to be seen

I notice that yesterday Santon Downham in Suffolk registered a low of -3.0C and a high of 19.0C. Quite an impressive range.

Last night was certainly a dramatic way to break the run of frosts with a low of 8.2c

Today has been mostly cloudy and looks a bit brighter now, a few spits and spots of rain but nothing to register on the Davis.

12.7c currently and the max so far today

Quite sunny with the current 15.2 C feeling balmy despite a slight onshore S breeze. May even be good enough to break out the garden chair for the first time this year.

Still widely in double figures and even in the low teens for some. A remarkably mild night for early March so far. It will surely give tomorrow's temperatures a bit of a head start.

I expect we will see 20°C somewhere this weekend before the northerlies descend on Monday.

Calm, clear and chilly - much colder than forecast.

2.9, dew 1.3, the overnight low also being 2.9. Yesterday's high was 17.1 and I'd expect a similar high today. A mile away and 100ft up it's 7C.

EDIT: And I see Southend, at 2C, is the coldest in the UK. Yet just a couple of miles away at Shoeburyness, with a gentle breeze, it's 7C. That shows there's a very shallow inversion layer and it won't take much to mix it out!

8.9C. Bright, thin cloud with earlier signs of the first flights high above.

Will the temperature reach the first 14 or 15C of the year this weekend IMBY?

After yesterday's "blip" day here, today was back to lovely sunshine and warm, 18.2c was the max, certainly warmest day of the year for here.

Must have been close to or hitting 20c somewhere today?!?

Been a day of good sunny spells and varied cloud amounts, temps peaked at 16.8 C at 2.40 pm. Gave the lawn the first mow of 2025 and it was easily comfortable enough to sit on garden chair in shorts & T shirt for a good few hours so I've got quite rosy-looking cheeks and legs.
