Very dense fog at the moment here. I'm surprised that there isn't a weather warning out for it as visibility is less than 40m!!

If a fog in March is worth a frost in May what is today’s current freezing fog worth?

A windy start to today here in Edinburgh with the winds at Edinburgh Gogarbank gusting up to around 40 mph from the SW.

Other than that though, it's another dull and overcast start to yet another day with a temperature of around 9°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

Somewhat breezy with some cloud and plenty of bright spells. No frost this morning, the overnight low was 1.3c, it's now 3c.

Gusts well over 50mph overnight but it has calmed down now and it's 5C

Wind has really dried things up it is looking quite springlike.

We only had half normal rain in Feb and none this month yet.

Fine with hazy but unbroken sunshine. Managed a peak of 12.0 C at 2 pm and felt comparatively mild for it, now 9.6 C & mid-80% H with a slight onshore type SW breeze. No frost observed last night.
Home location: Folkestone Harbour.

A beautiful day with long spells of sunshine. It's the warmest day of the year so far too, at 14.1°C.

Already this has been a better spring than last year's.

Another one of those days that starts frosty but ends up warm - from -1.8 this morning to 15 this afternoon, the first 15 of the year. It's warm enough in my "shed on a bungalow" to need the windows open upstairs... 23C up there right now.

One thing I love to do is on this thread is to compare people relatively local in the SE as it just shows how subtle differences can affect all our temps.

Having been generally much lower mins last weekend and this week than you Darren, as an example, last night our low was just warmer than yours at -1.7c and we got up to 13.9c, which is our warmest day of the year.

Albeit we are on top of this section of the Downs, I often see that strangely we are colder than most PWS's locally, even ones down in the valley, and then suddenly it flips and we can be a couple of degrees warmer.

Quite an inversion out there this morning! It's clear and calm down here, whereas 100ft up on the hills to the north (and higher up on the Downs) there's a southerly breeze blowing.

It's colder than forecast: 1.9, dew 0.4, the low so far being 1.2 (and the forecast was 4). However, up on the hills it's 7 or 8!

Yesterday's high was 15.0, and it should be similar today.

After yesterdays frosty fog that only cleared at midday it's another foggy start but at 4.7C.

The day before was the first day in months that was sunny from sunrise to sunset. Glorious.

Someone did a Baltic yesterday at midday and cut comms (main optic fibre cable). Repaired after eight hours and I assume the actor (rumoured housing developer but will probably never know) will receive a large bill in due course.

Slightly surprised at another frost last night, thought it would hold up just above.

The min (assuming we are there now), which is also the current temp, is -0.7c

No mist or fog up here today, although there could be down in the valley for sure.

Cloud now spilling in, albeit mostly high, so hazy still.

Reached 16.3c just before midday and the warmth of the wind is noticeable.

Heard on the radio some places approaching 18c elsewhere widely.

Good to see such temperatures again! They're always so refreshing in early spring after a long dreary winter. I expect Saturday will bring the first 20°C of the year as it might be a bit late in the day for it to happen today.

It's reached 15.4°C here this afternoon, which is the warmest day of the year so far for the second day in a row.
