I recall reading a book years ago entitled 'The Birth of the People's Republic of Antarctica'. There was a scene in it where the voyargers were stranded on S. Georgia island and it was hit by a berg such as this with such a force that it shook the island. Likely that is just dramatic embellishment of what really happens under these circumstances, but it was a stand out moment in the book for me.
