It’s the end of the world as we know it (and I feel fine) - R.E.M.
I will be travelling back up to Edinburgh tomorrow and it won’t surprise me one bit if nothing changes by the time that I get home either and I don’t even believe that I’ve ever seen such a spell of boring, uninteresting and tedious “weather” for my ventures down here with nothing changing from one day to the next for my ventures down here as I’ve seen in the last week.
Currently around 8°C here in Hawick which is at least slightly cooler than of late though still not even the least bit cold.😡
Currently around 5 C & mid 90% H, like it has been for a few days.
Temperatures rose during the night, meaning we'll have a frost-free December here, with the absolute minimum (1.1) beating even the infamous December 2015 (1.0).
Current conditions (personal WS)
Barely scraped 6C today and yesterday didn't make it to 7C.
Overcast with light winds
Like the previous another chilly winters day.

Next weeks ' colder weather' will be milder for here .
One of these days the sun will re-appear here ...
Down here in the Scottish Borders, we finally have our first change of weather since I first arrived here a week ago.
Even with that though, the weather still hasn’t changed all that much.
It’s windy now but with just a bit of light drizzly rain and a temperature of around 8°C here in Hawick.
8.2, dew 6.7.
As with this year, it looks like winter will finally arrive in January...
I'm hoping the coming winds will send the tame heron off in search of ponds anew. And not in my garden.
I've been covering certain tender plants (gingers and so) on with a fleece wrap as it looks like some notable frosts after Wednesday. The Met app for here suggests minus 4C which is sharp for here. Looking at the fax charts a long fetch northerly perhaps? So maybe even lower temps with clear skies.

Serious decision made there.....the city is full!
