White Rabbits!! White Rabbits!!

It may well be the first day of meteorological winter but it doesn't seem like it as this so-called "winter" has started off with a typical frost-free horror show and even the nightmare scenario of double figures winter temperature right from the word "go".😡

All of that will be good news for those who are struggling with their gas and electricity bills but in terms of any actual winter weather and for all of those coldies out there, this so called "winter" couldn't possibly have got off to a worse possible start than it has.😡

Apart from that, today is got off to a fairly dull and damp start here and the temperature here in Edinburgh is a ridiculously mild 13°C.😡

Yesterday's maximum temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 14.4°C and yesterday's minimum temperature at that same station was only down to 12.0°C which confirms that the autumn ended with a ridiculously mild double figures minimum.😡

As for our rather pathetic start to this so-called "winter", it has brightened up a lot now with some decent sunshine but it is still ridiculously mild for the time of year with a temperature of around 13°C here in Edinburgh.😡

Quite sunny but damp after overnight showers (1.2 mm since yesterday evening), still an improvement after having been overcast and breezy all weekend. A chilly clammy-feeling 10.3 C & low 90% H under a mod NW breeze.

A mostly cloudy start to today after the clearance of some overnight rain.

This morning is nowhere near as mild as yesterday morning with the temperature currently at around 6°C here in Edinburgh but that is still not even the least bit cold and the frost-free horror show goes on.😡

This morning has started off on a mostly cloudy note but the first official air frost of the winter has been recorded at all three of my local stations with the temperature currently at around -2°C here in Edinburgh.

Not been that a bad day with some bright breaks and varied cloud amounts. Also a single-figure day with max of 8.2 C at noon but winds were dead calm so it hadn't felt that cold, currently 4.9 C & high 80% H.

Despite us being under an official Met Office yellow warning for ice this morning, last night brought about a return to our more familiar frost-free horror show with not even a ground frost being recorded. Indeed, I have already been out and about this morning and I didn't see even the slightest hint of any ice or frost when I was out.😡

This morning started off on a bright and sunny note after the overnight rain had cleared away but it's now already in the process of clouding over once again ahead of the next lot of rain which is due later on today.

Currently around 6°C here in Edinburgh and not even the least bit cold.😡

So the mist became thick fog by 10am and it's still lingering. We've also got yellow warnings here for tomorrow for wind, then from Friday through to Sunday for rain and wind. Sure is interesting weather here 😁

Earlier rain has cleared away for now but the wind has picked up quite a bit here.

Meanwhile, this so-called "winter" has once again gone completely down the toilet pan as the temperature has now risen to a very mild 11°C here in Edinburgh.😡
