I hadn't thought this through much before but it might make a difference so I thought I'd ask. Let's say you are looking at a 1h model output valid for 12Z, is the 1hour precip the total accumulated precip between 11Z and 12Z? And if it is, then shouldn't we compare the 12Z precip charts to the 11:30Z radar rather than the 12Z radar?

I see that they also use ogimet.com as one of their data sources and of course, that is the same source which I use myself in my various python scripts which I use to generate all of the information which I use in my various posts elsewhere on this forum.
