There's been more snow overnight, in Shropshire, my daughter has sent a picture of the lovely blanket they received. It's very white over by Newport.

There has been a fresh covering overnight here too thanks to a scattering of snow showers. The garden has been snow covered since Sunday night.

Had a fresh dusting here overnight, but the main showers generally passed to our SW

I realise this is a snow report and my report is nothing like the kind of minimums our Scottish friends got to experience recently, but my min of -0.9 C overnight and was still 0.0 C with an air frost at 9 am is still fairly impressive for my south-facing coastal location. I'm usually hard pressed to experience this in deep Winter, never mind at this time of the year.

Snowing well at Filey on the webcam - looks like quite an organised area of precipitation on the radar

More snow showers here today and looks like there could be more tonight too. I have a feeling that tomorrow’s showers may be more wet than white here in Aberdeen but time will tell and I can’t really complain from a snow perspective as it has snowed every day since Sunday evening topping up the cover each time.

On a negative side, some of the roads which had compressed snow experienced a brief period of melt yesterday before freezing again today leading to some treacherous road conditions on the side roads.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

There is even a decent covering on the beach just now (but hard to see as it’s dark and the webcam quality is a bit rubbish):

Turning into a very decent snowy spell here.  Snow topping up each day and now about 5 inches in the garden.

8cm here this morning which is the most I can remember this early though 1993, 2008 and 2010 had more later in the month.

Another snowfall better than anything during the barren years of 2014-20.

Also max of just 0.5C likely the coldest this early in the season since 1969.

A couple of brief graupel showers have left a covering where the overnight snow had melted; topped up where the snow from Monday night and last night had survived.

Hoping for more through the night.

Surprised, upon a trip to the jacks, to see that the snow is still falling, Still only light and not much accumulating but still pretty to see.

An inch has fallen so far, sticking to all surfaces, on the radar you can easily see Bodmin Moor, Dartmoor and Exmoor. Met had this one bang on.

There is a second pulse of rain/snow coming in later this morning… with the colder air pushing further SW and undercutting this system I can imagine more snow problems this morning.

I think the air is slightly milder here today and there not been any fresh snow here overnight I think (although there was yesterday evening) meaning the snow depth is still around 8cm. Snow cover has persisted since Sunday evening, impressive for November.
