However roads , pavements , drives completely bare despite it snowing at -1c, they must have been warm and the precipitation was light so zero disruption. 

Very pretty though. 

A shame as it’s absolutely pelting down so the snow would be incredible. 

An impressive temperature gradient with stations on the south coast just 40 miles away still reading 12C!

There is a reason we never get snow here 😞 Expecting another snow cover free winter here again. 

The cold will arrive a couple of days but the only white we will see is frost.

Which will still be a welcome novelty.

Incredible temp variation in a few miles as I type this.

The Weatherobs map currently showing 13C on the south coast, freezing at eg Brize Norton in Oxfordshire, and -8C in Scotland. 

Got the train to Haselmere and in the half hour or so up the road the temperature contrast was pretty bonkers. Felt around 6-7C when i stepped out from the train.

We're left with about 2cm on grass, cars and the like.

This morning's snow has been too far south.

Still keeping an eye on the front up north to see if it delivers snow (or rain or nothing!)
