Looking out at 12.55 the bright moonlight shows a good covering of snow here - maybe a few cm.  Splendid sight.

A thick blanket of snow here now probably about 4-5 inches deep and still snowing very lightly.  Radar shows snow for another 4 hours, although I’m not convinced, as it was showing snow a good hour before it started last night.

Snowing quite heavily again now.   I imagine schools will be closed and people off work today. We certainly won’t be able to get our granddaughter to nursery, as it’s down a remote lane. Looks like granny and grandpa will be building snowmen.

Well it doesn’t often snow here in winter anymore let alone November but it’s coming down thick and fast, school run should be interesting 🙂

We have 5cm fluffy snow on natural and raised surfaces.

However roads , pavements , drives completely bare despite it snowing at -1c, they must have been warm and the precipitation was light so zero disruption.

Very pretty though.

Heavy rain here. Radar shows the dividing line between rain and graupel/snow is around  10 miles to the north.

A shame as it’s absolutely pelting down so the snow would be incredible.

Temperature at Farnborough dropped from 11.7C at 2am to 3.7C currently.

An impressive temperature gradient with stations on the south coast just 40 miles away still reading 12C!

Do we not bother with a 'snow reports' thread any more? Bit late now as they are all in here.

Reports from Nottingham (daughters 🙂) 10cm in the north of the city and 3cm in the south (Trent Valley)

There is a reason we never get snow here 😞 Expecting another snow cover free winter here again.

The cold will arrive a couple of days but the only white we will see is frost.

About 5cm lying snow in the garden, although it's been thawing on roads and paths. A lovely Christmassy scene nonetheless. The odd snow flurry just recently.

The initial burst last night, with moderate snow intensity, put a good cm or so on all surfaces. Once the intensity dropped, the covering on paved/tarmacked areas began to melt, which was completed by a period of sleety rain. Although this turned back to snow and got a bit heavier again for a short while, we never got a covering back in roads/pavements.

We're left with about 2cm on grass, cars and the like.

This morning's snow has been too far south.

Day 2 of lying snow here (since Sunday evening,). We had about 3 or 4 cm of fresh snow overnight on top of yesterday's cover.

Still keeping an eye on the front up north to see if it delivers snow (or rain or nothing!)
