Last night was yet another night in which the temperatures have refused to drop and it is the only the fact that the temperature at Edinburgh Gogarbank was 9.9°C as at 7am GMT (07:00 UTC) this morning (and therefore only just in single figures and no more) which has saved us from what would otherwise have been yet another double figures minimum temperature which is just ridiculous given that we are now only a few weeks away from the start of the meteorological winter.😡

Looks like another nice day here today.

It is a glorious autumn day here today. Just had a walk on one the city’s two beaches and in the light winds with blue skies it felt pleasantly warm and not very November-like. Currently 11.3°C and sunny.
Dyce had the highest amount of sunshine in the UK yesterday (5.3 hours) - wonder if it'll do the same again today?
Down here it couldn't be any more gloomy, could end up as one of those rare days with no sun at all. The temperature's only varied by at most 0.8C since midnight, but as Ian noted it feels colder than of late - the reason is the dewpoint has fallen a couple of degrees since yesterday.
12.2, dew 9.6.
I can see those clearer skies in the far distance to my north and NE from where I am here in Edinburgh, but that has been the case throughout the day with those clearer skies never getting any closer to us.
As a result, it continues to be grey and mostly overcast with a temperature of around 12°C here in Edinburgh and despite the lack of wind, it feels a bit colder than it actually is here.

A below average day and another overcast one.
I didn't know that the metoffice had started this again. Plus it's got all the regional ones too

It's still overcast, there's a light wind from the east and it's 10.5, dew 8.6. The overnight low was 10.3 and the high yesterday was 12.6 - not exactly a massive diurnal range!
The sun's meant to come out today and, if it does, it should be a bit warmer.
It hardly got light throughout, oppressively gloomy but very calm and eerily quiet in the countryside with constant light drizzle in the air.
Drove back to Edinburgh today and it was exactly the same all the way here. Here we go again 🤢
