Overnight rain has cleared away from here and today has been fairly bright with some sunshine although there's still a lot of cloud around.

In addition to that, it's also fairly warm for this time of year at around 16°C here in Edinburgh.

The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.

A summer's day here - warm, sunny, a gentle breeze from the south and a generally balmy feel to things. I mowed the lawn earlier and I was rather warm by the end of it.

It was one of those mornings where the windows were covered in condensation, so you knew it was going to be warm!

19.4, dew 14.4, the high so far being 19.8. Last night's low was 10.7 and yesterday's high was 16.4.

Dew point around 16C

Felt rather nice especially in the sun which is still moderate at time of year

13.6C. Frequent rain showers some heavy with gusty winds from the SW. Very unstable with towering white cumulous appearing through the gloom seen at ground level.

A dryer slot on the way? but these showers seem to form in a short time so perhaps not.

And after the northern lights and a bit of rain, it's breezy, sunny, warm and humid today - another summer's day. Once again there was lots of condensation on the windows first thing.

18.6, dew 14.5, the high so far being 18.9. Last night's low was 10.9 and the high yesterday was 19.8 - there was 1.2mm of rain earlier today.

Miserable & damp with that 'nothing' temp that you just don't notice because it's neither warm nor cool.

The most mind-numbingly crap weather I can imagine.

After 2 gloomy days the blue skies and golden sun are very welcome this morning. The air minimum was around 1 C so there is a frost on the cars and flat roofs. A crisp Autumn morning 🍁🍂

Frost on the grass and ice on the cars though temp remains above freezing in my back garden. Local Met station just outside of town got down to -0.5c. Not a date record but the lowest since possibly 1964 for the 11th.
