Yesterday was a muggy 26.8c with a fair amount of cloud in the afternoon.

This morning started off on bright and sunny note but you would have needed to have been up in the early hours of the morning to see that as it then didn't take long to cloud over again.
As I write, there is still a lot of cloud around but with some occasional sunny intervals coming through as well at times.
Meanwhile, the temperature here in Edinburgh is around 18°C as I write, but today is not forecast to be quite as warm as yesterday although the temperature is still predicted to reach around the 70°F mark here.
In addition to that, the latest forecasts are even indicating the possible chance of a bit of rain here in the latter part of the day so it looks as though this spell of weather is now about to come to an end here, a spell of weather which brought a much needed bit of warmth in the end, but which has failed to deliver the amounts of sunshine which we would typically expect to see from such a spell of weather during the summer, at least in this part of the world.😡

Max so far of 25.4c but a lot of cloud around so currently 24.3c

Clear skies
Gentle intermittent sea breeze beginning to blow.
I still wait for dawn to dusk sunshine this summer. It's pleasant of course without it and a lovely day so far.

Over 20 C here now but still mostly cloudy with low and medium level cloud and the odd sunny break. First signs of a few showers breaking out around Peebles. Cold front still west of Glasgow

Interesting to see as well just how much Aberdeen has cooled down even though the cold front is still well to the NW of there.
I can only imagine that this may well be down to a cooling sea breeze from the SE which as we know, isn't exactly something which Richard from up there is any sort of fan of.
Here in Edinburgh, the winds are light and very variable in direction without any evidence of any sea breeze from off the North Sea just yet.
But that has already been beaten with 29.4C so far at Herstmonceux today.

Interesting here now. Pressure falling, temperature falling quickly from a 2pm high of 22 C and a fresh East wind blowing in. Shower activity increasing along and ahead of the cold front........bye bye brief warm spell!
I'm "well jell" as the kids would say!
No sign of any rain here, sadly, nor any cloud at all... clear blue skies, next to no wind (just the odd puff from the NE), but at least it's only two and a half degrees above average.
23.5, dew 15.7, high so far is 23.7.
22 C at 2pm, humid, light NW wind
18 C at 3pm, fresher, moderate ENE wind
Light rain here now
Parasol and garden chair cushions in! 🙄
Temperature has fallen 4 C in an hour
Rather interestingly, the temperature at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh has dropped to just 16°C which isn't even the least bit warm any more😡 but as I write, it's still around 21°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank.
Even at Edinburgh Gogarbank, the temperature is now starting to drop back slightly which means that today will officially go down as being slightly cooler than yesterday.
In addition to that, I can now see that a wind has picked up from off the North Sea and it doesn't feel as stuffy indoors now as it did earlier on.
Sheets of moderate drizzle blowing in on the cold east wind
The cloud satellite is quite interesting. Easy to see where the hot sun is
I guess that'll be it for our "summer" then (well, for the time being at least).😡
