Sunny, 17.3, dew 16.2 - highest dewpoint of the year so far, and it explains why it was so foggy this morning! There's clearly a lot of moisture being dragged in, and it has that sticky feel to things already.

EDIT: 17.4, dew 16.3 as I was posting that!

SECOND EDIT: And not long after, with a few puffs of wind from the SW, it's shot up to 19.2, dew 16.2.

After a day of light winds, it's suddenly picked up from the NE, in the direction of the sea. The temperature's fallen to 20.2 as a result, but it'll only be temporary... all the models show winds coming from the SW later in the afternoon, and I reckon the temperature will shoot up in response.

The high so far is 21.7.

As expected the lovely NE'ly has gone, instead we've a light SW'ly and the temperature's shot up... currently 22.9, max so far 23.2... warmest day of the year so far.

It's currently mostly cloudy, but the satellite shows clear skies on the way... might squeeze a 24 or 25 out of it if it does turn sunny

However, that appears to be too much to ask for at the moment (hence the reason why we have only exceeded 20°C on just the one occasion during this month so far with that happening on the very first day of the month) and in the end, the temperature has ended up being no higher than around 17°C here which means that the Met Office have clearly got that one badly wrong there.

As I write, the temperature here in Edinburgh has dropped to just 14°C which yet again, isn't even the least bit warm for this time of year.🤢

Today turned out decent enough with plenty of sunshine and a peak of 21.5 C, especially in the afternoon where I sat in the front garden. High cloud ahead of the cold front is slowly filling in the sky as I type, 15.9 C currently.

Pleasant at 14.2C. Clear, light SW wind and sunny after some overnight light, though welcome rain for the garden. Not really enough if you are a keen gardener. But there it is. A warmish maybe a hot spell in the offing perhaps?
