Not sure if was there already but a smaller fissure seems to have opened up very close to the northern edge of the town.

It was noticeable how the recent eruptions all follow almost the same NNE-SSW line.  In a way I guess that’s good news in that it’s a little more predictable, but that the best you can say.

You'd assume an eruption is very likely just because there's clearly a pathway there that the lava can push through but in theory it might not make it to the surface I guess.  

Be interesting to see where this one comes up if it does erupt, hopefully for the sake of the town it's in a similar area to the last one and doesn't trend south and erupt near or in town or just out to sea.

Judging by the active vents it's all gradually dying off but still an impressive event, particularly for the first couple of hours.
