35c in my garden before I left to come into the office at 10:30 this morning.
So glad we have A/C here!
It's 36c outside now, apparently & the postmen never collected yesterdays post, not sure they'll be by today either.

Just hit 37.1C at 1109am. 23% humidity. Just 1.1c to beat yesterdays high. A truly historic weather day. With about 6 hours of heating left.... wow.
Cambridgeshire, Ouse Valley, 40ft AMSL.
We decided to sleep in the garden but got too cold at about 3am so returned inside. The overnight low on my VP2 was 19.4C, but I expect it was at last a couple of degrees lower around Berkhamsted.

Meanwhile, Thunderstorms in the SW as chewing their way up though Devon. I don't think they are coming fast enough to interfere with the temp rise in Eastern areas but should provide some relief here by this evening

32.0c here, rising rapidly now the sun is less hazy , staggering for the time of day, and plenty of heating time to go.

4 x 36C in my temperature watch zone. Won’t be long until a 37C now.

Indeed it is, and it’s not even in the red area. ST James Park and others 36+ too.
Crikey! At that rate you could beat the record by midday!
