Interesting situation around the Pennines. 23-27 C minimum last night??
Leeds Bradford Airport (@ 200m) showing a minimum of 27 C on 'weatheronline' with nearby Bingley (also @ 200m) showing 23 C.
Unless the readings are faulty, Keswick in the Lakes is already at 25 C at 5.30 am 😲

LBA was cooler at around 23c, 21.9c min here , still location records no doubt, definitely for me. 

It is Emley Moor which may hold the record though, can't see lower than 26.6c . It is at 270m asl so that extra altitude has helped plus being a bit further South in a zone that heated up quickly yesterday and retained heat. 

Edit Emley maybe 26.2c, Kenley 25.8c but in a twist Emley was only 24.7,c at 9am yesterday morning whereas Kenley was above 26c so does that mean Kenley takes the record?

Yes, just risen from 20.6 to 21.7 in 3 minutes.

Up to 28C in 3 places at 7am: Tawscoed (was already 28 at 6.30), Pembrey sands and Biggin Hill.

UKV 3z has 43c around Goole and 39-40c here. Heat reducing by 3-4pm, bit earlier on Met Office App.
UKV maybe a couple of degrees too high in places yesterday though.

So the overnight minima were not all that impressive in most places due to a dip in the early part of the night. The low in many places was around 1am before the rise started but that was enough to take a lot of them below the old record. Looks like we will still end up with a new record somewhere though.

As for the max, who knows? I think we can make it to 39, but 40C feels like a lot to ask as everything would have to align perfectly and we know it rarely does on days like this!
