I wonder if we're gonna run out of time.. What's the realistic time cut off?

Depends on many factors. Could be as late as 1730hrs
Still a lot of heating time left. 5pm will be likely cut off today.

Less than 500m from the end of London City Airport runway.
Still 29c near Folkestone on the downs, still quite pleasant in the shade facing the breeze not even sweating and still not in shorts. This time is 2019 it was 35+ although I feel tomorrow is the day IMBY.
Although there isn't a cloud in the sky here, there is no blue in it at all. More of a uniform greyish white. Never seen quite it's likes before, even on the Continent. Either it is down to a hard to discern thin film of high level cloud, or the remnants of smoke from those Spanish forest fires that are still raging.

It's 34C here and sunny. Feels hot too. The sat image a few posts up from the Met O, shows the boisterous clouds to my north well.
Apparently the roads here aren't that busy, quiet actually, which is understandable. No trains too I think.

My all time record smashed. Temp now 37.5C and rising. Started to get slight haze now. My Stevenson's screen temp generally shows good agreement with nearby official stations such as Faversham and formerly Brogdale where we got very close agreement.

Yes 35.3C in Gogerddan beating the old 35.2 in Hawarden in 1990.
Nice image from the Met, showing the pesky cloud across the south that is keeping temps down here. Looks very clear in the hot spot around Cambridge though!

Juuuust got a whisker close to 33 C with 29% H keeping DP at 13 C. With windows curtains drawn and fan on, I am just able to keep my hobby room temperature below 30 C but the afternoon sun is yet to get to work on that.
