31.6c 88.8F ....it just keeps on climbing. 2 more hours to go as well.
I'd worked out that I would need 32c today here for the record to go elsewhere.
Tomorrow I'm plugging for the magic 100F here (37.8c).

So the report has been, for the temp, rounded up.

Hovering around the 34C mark here at the moment. Maybe could push for the 35C?

I suspect we’ll get to 36C or so.

Hawarden, offended at losing its Welsh record for about 3 hours, is about to reclaim it.
Too much clouds here, forming so fast, what happened to the supposed dry heat that mean clear skies? Rubbish hot spell and no fun when temps kept stopping from the clouds.

That's joint with Jersey then. If we count
35.3c in Gogerddan, the hottest day on record for Wales
30.2c in Aboyne, the hottest day on record for Scotland
28.8c in Armagh, the hottest day on record for Northern Ireland
33.9°C here. Exceptionally hot for this location.

So Northolt or Heathrow favourites for beating all time UK record then. Which just happens to be imby.

Hawarden now 35.2C so I think Gogerddan's brief moment of fame may be short-lived!

Temp at Northolt stalled and has dropped slightly. I think we'll struggle to best 38C today. Some high level cloud

Got to be Cambridge surely

To see a map like this with temps of 35-36C right across the southern half of the country is just madness.

Rounded 36s starting to appear across the Midlands and as far north as Cheshire and Doncaster.
