Same as here (in Jamaica) although our dew point is 25⁰C.
What transpires over the next couple of days will be fascinating and hopefully not too harmful.

I think I’ve narrowed it down. That boomer generation are bizarrely ‘proud’ of the summer of 76, almost as if they own it. They don’t seem to like this overshadowing it - plus they don’t want to have to face reality on climate change.

Fortunately I have enlightened boomed parents who not only very clearly recognise climate change is of a different order of magnitude (this week they whatsapped me a photo of one of the Mt Blanc glaciers that’s a terrifyingly tiny shadow of what it was when we first visited in 1989) but my father was at the 1966 final.

Less than 500m from the end of London City Airport runway.
Tomorrow and the next day are going to be different however and not in a good way. Probably nearly 8 -10c higher again than today for most.
Welcome to the future.

Looking at the max temps today, I thought the South would feature more as the heat is coming up that way but the temps in the North have been generally been more remarkable today e.g 33c at Hawarden. Late 18.00 temp of 28.7c at Bingley at 270m asl is impressive, not sure what the max there was , but that must be way above it's mean annual maximum .

Indeed some highly irregular activity just to the north and south of me with a friend near Yeovil reporting significant heavy rain drops. Not expected.

Yup, illegal heavy rain drops for about five minutes here at around 7.30 - sat in the garden and just couldn’t quite believe it!
Raining here now , a flash of lightning as well . Totally not forecast and way more instability than modelled

Not sure that means a lot to be honest
That’s autocorrect for you! That’s a classic though.

Not sure that was in the script?!
Hope they don’t leave cloud dregs in the morning to slow the temperature rise.
