BBC forecast for Leeds now showing 38C on Tuesday… it was only showing 35C a couple of days ago
Already taken a screenshot of the forecast as who knows when we’ll see anything like it again

App updated to show 106f for Tuseday it's absolutely crazy
It’s still there this morning. Met Office still stubbornly sticking with 39, probably because they have publicly said 40C is less than 10% chance.
Do forecasters manually fiddle with the app/web output?
I assumed, probably naively - that they were 100% computer generated.

As much as it is an interesting time, it has been so nice to have a few fresh days here. Living in a new build, it takes a while to get the temperature down and last night was finally comfortable and my 2 year old didn't wake up ready for the day at 3.30am. I'm interested to see how high we actually get and whether we can push past 35C here and 40C nationally but I am glad there's a 20C forecast on Wednesday!
Met Office auto forecast now shows "just" 30c here on Monday and Tuesday.
Weatheronline auto output for London: 27, 29, 34, 43, 42, 27, 29, 26.
"Exceptional, perhaps record-breaking, temperatures are likely on Monday, then again on Tuesday. Nights are also likely to be exceptionally warm for the UK, especially in urban areas. This is likely to lead to widespread impacts on people and infrastructure. Temperatures are expected to drop away from Wednesday onwards."

Was only a matter of time. A huge swathe of England too.
People don't quite realise how hot 40c will be.
It's going to be the most exceptional spell of weather in many many years, if not in a lifetime.

Given this usually underestimates, I wonder how high we could go?
