That's however an estimate from the 16th. I haven't seen anything but if the said news report has more updated information then it could be.

I've not seen any confirmation of SO2 levels being 'high' but I have seen reports of the explosive force being much greater than first reported.


I'm aware of the particularly important SO2 connection related to global temperature change but, can anyone hazard a guess of how important is the particulate matter quantity, along with the height this matter reaches?

Yes and a similar pattern now esp with SE Europe and middle east so cold - the question is why is the UK so much warmer or the warmest place in n hemisphere?
