Out for a walk this morning

Wild garlic not quite open here, bluebells are about 1/3 out need a good week yet but this is late even here.

There seems to be a lot of dandelions this year here, some fields are amazing almost covered.

I think it might be to do with last summer being so dry at first gave seeds a bare spot to grow

Yes dandelions have been amazing this year, I also think this is the best year I've seen for cowslips and my garden is still full of primroses in flower. 

A lot of the trees have really come into leaf this week despite the cold temps, with oak and ash still lagging behind. It's also lovely to see the chestnut trees in full green leaf before the dreaded leaf miner gets going.
