London 37 on Sat and 36 on Sun

Think they will be knocking a chunk off that value for tomorrow very soon! Though to be fair they seem likely to have called today spot on, I expect the rounded max will just make it to 37C once the final values are in.

They are either seeing something very different or this is going to be very wrong. At least based on latest models.

Anywhere East of London around 36C?

35 degrees here. Love the hot hairdryer breeze. Three loads of washing on the line, all dried in about an hour.

Despite the cloud the temp has shot back up to a new high of 34.1C

And now back down to 32.9. It's all over the place.

For the record though, Arome still has 30C in Heathrow tomorrow (probably 1-2C too low IMO) and 33C south and southwest of the Downs.

Had a few drops here in Galley Common and sadly the heat cannot build up due to clouds won't go away, hope tomorrow more hotter and sunnier to make up for lost time today.

On days like this I love to walk into cold air conditioned supermarkets and then walk back out feeling the wall of heat. Off to Tesco local to do that right now (and buy some beer).

I doubt it, I think they have a wrong forecast for tomorrow.

My davis went up to 35.4c  at 14:47 now down to 34.9c.

It feels like maxes have plateaued at 36C. Not bad, but a shame it looks like we have missed out on the fourth hottest day.

We probably have another 30 minutes, but I feel less hopeful.

No tweets from the MetOffice either.

It's flirting with 26C and pleasantly breezy but rather more humid than the last hottish day.

The temps are fluctuating a lot minute to minute as the wind gusts around so the chances of having seen the highest temp as one of the hourly readings is pretty slim. Here it rose from 32.8 to 34.1 and back down to 32.7 within 10 mins.

Last week the highest hourly reading was 36.9 but it hit 37.8. We probably won't know until after 7pm.

4pm Metar was down to 35C at Heathrow, so expect the 4pm value to be down 

It will probably have peaked around 36.5C, which is what was expected.

Ha ha! I thought I was the only one who did that. Even without sun, you feel the heat like a thick air wall as soon as you step out.

27 seems to be the marker for feeling this coming out of the co-op. But you have to stay in a few minutes- not so easy these days!

Just reached 30 today but down under this shifted trough cloud to 27.
