This morning has once again, started off on the same manner in which it normally always starts off these days with no rain (it's been so long ago since we last had any rain first thing in the morning that I've forgotten how long ago that was, and what that is actually like), quite a lot of cloud and only the odd sunny interval although a total of 6 minutes of sunshine has been recorded for today so far at Edinburgh Gogarbank as at 7am this morning.
However, last night's rainfall resulted in a total of just 0.8 mm of rain being recorded at Edinburgh Gogarbank along with 1.0 mm at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh and that should tell you everything about just how boring this location is on average when it comes to our weather (or rather, the lack of any actual weather in this case).
Last night was slightly milder than of late with an overnight minimum temperature of 8.5°C at Edinburgh Gogarbank and 10.4°C at the botanic gardens in Edinburgh.
Meanwhile, the temperature at 7am this morning was around 11°C here in Edinburgh.
The north of Edinburgh, usually always missing out on snow events which occur not just within the rest of Scotland or the UK, but also within the rest of Edinburgh.
